Joshua James is an American rock and folk musician currently based out of Utah. He is often compared to Bob Dylan, Bright Eyes, Neil Young, or Ray Lamontagne. We love his intimate vocal style and bittersweet lyrics, often dealing with tragedy, religion, and substance abuse. We can hear that his music is laden with passion. Give him a chance.
Sufjan Stevens - For the Widows in Paradise, for the Fatherless in Ypsilanti
Sufjan has to be one of the most talented artists we have ever seen. He is able to play instruments, write music and sing. He often plays several instruments in the same song, recording them overtop. Though he has explicitly, repeatedly stated an intent to separate his beliefs from his music, Sufjan draws from the bible and other spiritual traditions freely, incorporating spiritual elements into his music often. This really makes his songs meaningful and worth looking into deeper. We like him, do you?

Kina Grannis - Valentine
Kina Grannis started off as an unknown You Tuber, but has increased in popularity since she started posting, and really how could anyone not love her music? With an amazing voice, and gentle acoustics, she is a true gem and sings straight from her heart. We hope you will follow her on YouTube and keep checking out her music! It's some of the best and you won't want to miss it.
Griffin House - The Guy That Says Goodbye To You Is Out Of His Mind
This is a feel good tune that should be dedicated to all the girls of the world. If only we all had a little sweetie like Griffin to tell us how special we are. I guess while we're waiting for Mr. Right or our Knight in Shining Armour to sweep us off our feet, we'll have to settle for this song on repeat.

They first gained recognition as their music was included on the Movie Soundtrack for A Walk To Remember. Since then, their seventh studio album Hello Hurricane received a Grammy award in 2011 for Best Rock Gospel Album. We interests us, is how they got their name. According to Jon Foreman, the name "Switchfoot" is a surfing term. "We all love to surf and have been surfing all our lives so to us, the name made sense. To switch your feet means to take a new stance facing the opposite direction. It's about change and movement, a different way of approaching life and music."
This song has almost reached it's 30 millionth view! It's pretty well known, but we thought that it would be a good one to share today! This catchy tune has reached number one on the Hot Country Songs charts and has been certified platinum.
A lyric to make you think "funny how you're dead, people start to listen". That's one to ponder.
This cover brings more to the song than the original (by Nelly). Their voices are so complimentary that you wonder how there could ever be a more perfect match. Sam Tsui has started working on some original pieces, so we are holding our breath for when he releases those.
This song is the one we go back to time and time again to make us happy. Its upbeat and energetic feel always makes us feel a little bit better! Adrian Lux is Swedish, and we are so very happy today to share this Swedish favourite. We hope it helps make your day a little brighter!

Give Me Heart - Susie Suh
Just listen. Susie Suh's voice is beautiful, and we fell in love with it as soon as we heard it. She started singing in 2005 and since then has wowed us with her music. Influenced by artists like Joni Mitchell and Beth Gibbons, Susie has definitely made a name for herself. Take five minutes out of your day and just listen, it isn't hard to do.
This is a nice little track. Recently featured in the new movie Arthur, Ben Gibbard (lead singer of Death Cab For Cutie and Postal Service) has a few new surprises for us. This is one that caught our attention!

Miami Horror is a little change of pace from our day to day favourites, but its upbeat tempo has had us dancing in our seats since we started listening! Benjamin Plant, the producer of this group, has provided us with many hours spent listening and learning about a style we are just beginning to love. We hope this starts your journey into a world of favourites you didn't know were there!
This is a great little group that we have JUST discovered. Like literally one hour ago. But even though we haven't been acquainted long, we're really feeling their sound. It's so happy and upbeat. They're on tour this summer, so see if they're coming to your area!
We would also like to share with you the website that we use to find all our favourite concert evenings! It makes or an expensive habit, so please indulge responsibly. But who doesn't love a little concert bender? All you have to do is type in the band that you are interested in seeing live and the website will tell you whether they are on concert and then general a list of their past and upcoming concerts. It will even link you to tickets! It also suggests bands similar to your artist of choice that are also on tour. It will even e-mail you when your favourite artists announce a tour! possibilities are endless.
Justin Robinett & Michael Henry - Airplanes Brick By Burning Brick
The harmonies swirl around each other and wrap us up in their sound. If you have a chance, check out the other covers that they have done (we suggest Hallelujah, Fireflies, and Half Of My Heart). They are absolutely fantastic and give the head-lining artists a run for their money.
Today our favourite is a pretty favourite. Gypsy and the Cat are an Australian band who we have come to adore. Take a listen, we think you will too. Their first live performance was just last year! We are hoping to catch their next one, wanna come?
The Jezabels are a mix of everything we love. They have so many different sounds and levels and you can't help but lose yourself in their sound when listening. They are self described as "intensindie" and we feel that this genre fits them perfectly because they are unique and can't be labelled as anything else. We hope their special sound catches your ear.
